[UPDATE 7:09 a.m.] Vegetation Fire North of Redway

cal fireCal Fire reports that a 1/4 acre fire was just extinguished between Redway and Dean Creek near Redwood Drive.  The Sheriff’s Department is on the scene of what the incident commander reports is an abandoned camp. There were no injuries.

Redway Fire and Cal Fire responded with one chief officer, two engines and the Redway Fire water tender.

UPDATE 7:01 a.m.:2015050295073718 KMUD posted on Facebook that there were initial explosions. A Cal FIre spokesperson said that there were no additional explosions during the incident. The Sheriff’s Office is on scene to see if there is any validity to the report of explosions.

UPDATE 7:05 a.m.: Those firefighters were on it quickly. Units are already finished with the mopup and returning to base.

UPDATE 7:09 a.m.: The first report came in at 6:14 a.m. The units cleared at 7:05 a.m. The incident will now be in “check status” for three days, says Cal Fire spokesperson Laura Coleman.

And here we go again. Someone needs to inform these transients that campfires are no longer safe this time of year . CHILL , make yourself useful, making sure that trimigrants have a “respite ” center means nothing as the countryside gets burned down. Sick of this shit.
