Alleged Bank Robber, Dubbed Mr. Sleepy, Had Concealed Heroin Says EPD

According to Eureka Police Captain Steve Watson, Benaiah Stephen Tabbytite, age 33 of Eureka, who was arrested yesterday evening for allegedly robbing two local banks, carried concealed heroin with him into the jail.  This morning Watson tweeted,

TabbytiteAs the result of investigation into two local recent bank robberies (one on the 23rd and one on the 28th,) Tabbytite had been identified as a suspect. Just before 7 p.m. last night Eureka Police Department officers responded to a report of a man apparently passed out on a porch. There they found Tabbytite who was arrested.

When heroin was allegedly discovered on Tabbytite in the jail, he was booked for possession of a controlled substance in addition to the robbery charges.
