Benbow Eaglet Spreads Its Wings

The Humboldt Bay eaglets star on the world stage but the Southern Humboldt eaglet quietly stretches its wings in a secret location. On April 25, local photographer Ann Constantino slipped in close to the eyrie and filmed the eagle family.

She wrote, “The light was fickle…with the wisps of fog competing with slanted rays of sun, but here’s a look at the 3-week old eagle chick in the Benbow area.”

Constantion suggests, “The longer eagle video is interesting at about 1:35 when the adult flies in. [W]atch the baby and parent in the nest right before the other adult arrives. Watch in HD if you can.”
