Accident Takes out Pole and Power to Some Residents in McKinleyville

About 2 a.m., a vehicle struck and sheared off a pole at Park and 1st Road in McKinleyville. Both lanes were blocked. Live lines were down and arcing. Power failed to about 70 electrical customers. Estimated time of restoration is around 2 this afternoon.
