Young Man Dies in Humboldt, His Dog, Pepper, Needs to Go to His Mom

When her young owner died tragically, Pepper eventually ended up in the Humboldt County Animal Shelter. Community members helped the young man’s heartbroken mother locate her son’s pet. Now the mom wants to bring Pepper to live with her in Ohio. She needs assistance though.

Can you help?

The owner of Tiger Lily Bookstore in Garberville, Kathy Epling, who knows Pepper well says she “is very good-natured and up-to-date on vaccinations.” Epling explained that the hope is that someone could find a way to unite the grieving mom and the bereft pup. Maybe someone is willing to drive back there?

The owner’s mother is willing to help pay something for transportation. If anyone can help, please contact redwoodpalsrescue@gmail.com.
