Caltrans Opens ‘Sinkhole’ Offramp for Weekend

According to Scott Burger, Caltrans’ Spokesperson, the northbound Hwy 101 offramp to Garberville which has been closed due to emergency repairs to a sinkhole will be open this weekend but closed again in order for crews to work on it Monday morning, June 2, at 7 a.m.  It will remain closed through 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 3.

Motorists will need to use the next northbound exit–the one that is labeled 639B Redway/Shelter Cove to access town from 101. In addition, one lane of Hwy 101 will be closed and there may be minor traffic slowdowns.
