Beware the Roadwork This Week at the 101/299 Interchange

Tonight, Caltrans will begin guardrail work at the junction of Hwys 299 and 101 between 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Monday through Friday, April 28th through May 8th.

There will be intermittent closures of the southbound 101 ramp which takes traffic east towards 299 as well as the ramp which takes traffic westbound from 299 and onto southbound 101. There will also be intermittent closures for the ramp which takes traffic heading westbound on 299 towards northbound 101. Motorists will have to find an alternative route as there will be a full ramp closure on that section.

LoCO recommends using the Giuntoli Lane junction just north of the 299/101 intersection for all the ramp closures. On the screenshot from Google Maps below, the 299/101 interchange is circled in red and the 101/Giuntoli Lane interchange is circled in green.
