Phone Service Issues Near Miranda

Residents in the Miranda/Myers Flat area have been experiencing cell phone issues with their Verizon and US Cellular devices. They have not been able to call or text out or receive messages.

A Verizon representative reports that technicians are reviewing cell towers in the area. He said that they believe during Monday’s storm one of the towers had an electrical surge which has caused it to work improperly. Technicians are currently attempting to determine which of the six towers in the area is responsible for the outage.

They hope to have service restored by the end of today.
