Fire in Shelter Cove

Around 2 P.M., there was a report of a vegetation fire in Shelter Cove.

According to Doug Bryan, Public Information Team member of the Southern Humboldt Fire Chiefs Association, Shelter Cove Fire and Cal Fire engines, hand crews, a dozer, a helicopter, and two air resources responded.  He said, “The Shelter Cove firefighters stopped the forward progress of the fire. Air resources [were] cancelled.” A Cal Fire engine and a hand crew headed out to the area for mop-up.”
