Fire in San Francisco Civic Center

UPDATE 1:45 P.M.:Fire is now being reported as contained.

Multiple reports coming in on Twitter of a large fire in an apartment in the San Francisco Civic Center–at Golden Gate and Larkin. terrapin_sf on Twitter speaks of scanner reports of flames on the second floor of the building while firefighters are attempting to evacuate the fourth floor.

Bruce, who took the photos here, says they were snapped “…right as it was starting.  So many people were running around trying to see what was happening. The smell was awful as I drove through.”
