Footprints Lead Officers to Suspects with Stolen Tools

Arcata Police Press Release:

On Thursday, February 7th at approximately 9:00 AM, officers of the Arcata Police Department were dispatched to investigate a residential burglary in the 300 block of H St.  The resident informed officers a workshop on his property had been broken into and various tools had been stolen during an unknown time frame.  While investigating, officers followed footprints leading from the workshop to a wooded area behind the residence.  Two suspects were located loading the stolen tools into a waiting vehicle.

 

Approximately three pounds of marijuana and a usable amount of methamphetamine were also located in the vehicle.

 

31 year old Waylon Flannery of Arcata was arrested for possession of stolen property and 37 year old Carolyn Nelson of Arcata was arrested for possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.  Both suspects were booked into the Humboldt County Jail.

 

The stolen property was returned to the victim.
