Structure Fire in Garberville

UPDATE 10:20 A.M.: CHP Spokesperson Matthew Harvey said that the CHP was called out to provide traffic control at address 275 Sprowel Creek Rd.  “The scene was clear at 6:12 A.M.”

UPDATE 7:44 A.M.: Marty Hobbs from Calfire said that the fire was out.  Calfire was not there as they are on minimal staffing.  Local VFD’s from Garberville and Redway handled the situation.  The road should be open at this point.

There was a structure fire at 285 Sprowel Creek Road in Garberville (approximately across the road from the old school) which was called in around 5:30 this morning.  The road was closed.
