UPDATE 9:30 P.M.: Caltrans is saying that “Route 36 closed 5 miles west of Dinsmore in Humboldt County due to jackknifed big-rig.”

___________________________

A truck pulling a trailer is involved in some sort of accident that has closed Hwy 36 for at least a couple hours. The CHP site says, “totally blocked.” The road appears, from information on the CHP Dispatch site, likely to be closed for at least 3 hours as it will take awhile for a tow truck to get there and then to clear the road.

The problem appears (to the best of my ability to figure it out) to be very roughly half way between Bridgeville and Dinsmore.
