Murder Suspect Located

 

 

Fortuna Police Press Report:

The Fortuna Police Department received information from the Fairfield Police Department that Warren Herman Sloan III (age 40) of Fairfield was possibly in the Fortuna area. Sloan was wanted by the Fairfield Police Department in connection with a homicide that occurred on March 31, 2012, in which he was suspected of stabbing a 19 year old female.

The department had been working with the United States Marshall’s Office to locate Sloan.

At about 5:30 pm, an Officer with the Fortuna Police Department observed Sloan walking in the area of the 500 block of South Fortuna Boulevard. Sloan then began walking towards the Six Rivers Motel and an officer made contact with him. Sloan complied with the Officer’s demand and was taken into custody without incident.

The department is continuing to work on this case with the US Marshall’s Office and the Fairfield Police Department
