Home Invasion Robbery

On 10-11-2011, approximately 12:30 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office was notified of a Home Invasion Robbery that occurred at approximately 12:00 noon in the 2000 block of Second Avenue, McKinleyville. The adult female victim told the investigating deputies she was home with her two children around 11:00 a.m. today, when two males knocked on her front door and asked if they could mow her lawn for money. The victim told them no thank you and they left.

At approximately 12:00 noon, there was another knock at the victim’s door. It was two males again and she believed they were the same two suspects who had knocked on her door about 11:00 a.m.  This time one suspect was wearing a full dark colored face ski mask covering his face and the others suspects face was covered with face paint. The suspects shoved their way inside her residence and were armed with a handgun this time. The suspects demanded money from the victim and began poking her with the handgun. The suspects ransacked the victim’s house and stole her wallet, money and cell phone before fleeing the scene. They were last seen leaving in a white sedan, similar to a Crown Victoria, Partial California License Plate of CF319.

The suspects are described as;

#1 White male, late teen’s or early twenties, approximately 5-9, 165 pounds, short dark colored hair, wearing a black T- Shirt

#2 Male, unknown race, wearing full dark ski mask, also around, 5-9, 165 pounds,

Yesterday I heard of a local daytime burglary which was not reported to the Sheriff. I wonder how many robberies are unreported?
