Oh-Oh, Humboldt Weed May Uproot NFL Players' Careers

Those Humboldt gardens they pack a powerful punch.  Two Cincinnati Bengals players may end up without careers and in jail because they received a package from Eureka, Ca that contained 2.5 pounds of marijuana. According to the story at the California Watch,

Cincinnati Bengals teammates Jerome Simpson and Anthony Collins, both 25, were at Simpson’s home in Crestview Hills, Ky., yesterday when a package allegedly containing 2.5 pounds of marijuana arrived at the house in what authorities called a controlled delivery.

A third person, Aleen Smith, allegedly signed for the package, which was sent from Eureka, Calif., and intercepted in Sacramento, authorities said. All three were questioned at the residence, but no arrests were made at the time.

Inside the home, police allegedly found six more pounds of marijuana, other empty parcels, scales and packaging material.

Michael Montgomery, one of the writers, sent me the link to the story pointing out, “The love affair with Humboldt is ever-growing.” Imagine, if we could just market marijuana like cornflakes these two players could be endorsing Humboldt pot not going to jail for distributing it.

UPDATE per @FrndEnterprise:  In August, a similar situation occurred in NASCAR racing. Two members of the Earnhardt-Ganassi team , one a mechanic and part time racer from Ferndale, were “charged in connection with the shipment of 10.5 pounds of marijuana.”

The BS part of this story is the intercept in Sac. The mail Does not go through SaC. It goes through a dist. Center in rohnert park then to SF. I know because I kept having gold ore packages delayed from my son in eureka to NV. My post office sent a tracker in a package and it came to me. The Mail does not go through SAc. To go back east. I smell a rat!
