Sunlight on Shadowed Poppies
Poppy Triplets
Daily Photo
I’ve been gardening, preparing for my annual Easter Party. Some parts of my garden dazzle me–mostly the parts I had the least to do with.

I figured you must be pretty busy to leave your blog for so long! I love Oriental poppies!
Are those what your poppies look like right now? Wow. The only flowers showing any sign of life where I’m at are the daffodils.
I love poppies. The orange and yellows remind me of a beautiful sunset. Something we haven’t seen for awhile around here! I finally got my strawberries and some of my seeds planted but I’m waiting on some planter beds. I’ve struck up an agreement with me kids that if they plant the veggie, they have to at least try it if it grows. We shall see…
Stunning, Kym!
And what a lovely photo to reinter blogosphere with. missed you.
Such lovely poppies, perfectly captured in the light. I’m trying to figure out what they have to do with marijuana, though (see your categories). 😉
Wow. This one really got me. And you captured it so well. Most people like to shoot sunny poppies, and so it is very different to see them shaded, and yet kissed by the sun.
They remind me of Spanish Flamenco dancers.
They are beauties, Kym. They light up (as do most of your photos) my as-yet flowerless existence.
Dazzling!
Wonderful Kym! I really like the mix of sunshine and shadow, as it really makes the bottom flower jump out at you. Very nice.
Those poppies are some of my favorite flowers. I especially love the white ones.
what happy colours

I think that it’s a beautiful photo, but Ernie added poetry.
Super looking flowers and photo. I love the interplay of shadow and light on flowers, but so rarely find it myself.
