We Take What We Can Get

Struggling to appreciate your sometimes less than stellar offspring?  Perhaps this bumper sticker might do the trick.

This parent apparently felt the sticker failed to sufficiently express the full range of their pride and attempted to ram it and the car stuck to it into something hard–hopefully not their teenager….

One of those “it would be funny if it wasn’t so sad” sort of things.

The placement of the damage is unbelievably perfect. I don’t have children, so maybe it’s easier for me to laugh.

I think the damage was the reason why the child became inmate of the month

It’s one of those things that you want to know the backstory on. I have a bumper sticker that says, “My Cocker Spaniel is smarter than your honor student.” And I think it’s true.

My bumper sticker states “When religion ruled the world they called it the dark ages”.

Empathy and well wishes, Kym. We do take what we can get. Here’s what you do for me (and for many others, I’ll bet): make me count my blessings. Your posts, your lovely and poignant photos, and your thoughtful comments on my and others’ blogs all seem to have the effect of reminding me to count my blessings.

Ah, and you, Heather, would be the one I would vote most likely to know what type of car that was! Once I looked closer I saw the M but other than that it just looked like a white vehicle with an owie on the bumper!

I was in a car of teenagers when we saw this. We all started howling when we saw this and I demanded my camera. For some reason (maybe the fact I was driving), they refused to let me have it so my oldest snapped the photo. I think the driver was worried that we thought he was a criminal. He kept looking in his rear view mirror wide eyed as we roared and my son snapped photos.

Your additional comments remind me of the story of someone who borrowed a friend’s car, and hadn’t noticed the “Honk if you love Jesus” bumper sticker on the back. Every time people honked, the driver flipped them off.

Elaine, Oh the cringe factor!!! I wonder how long it took to be able to tell that story on his or herself. But, I’m glad they passed it on because I got quite a chuckle out of it.

… Actually, it was the taillights – very distinct. On the other hand, if I saw only that much of an Accord, Camry or Sonata, I would really have no clue – they all look alike! (note I didn’t say “they all look alike to me”?)

I just had two good laughs! Your photo and stories, plus Elaine’s bumper sticker story!! Both LOL hilarious. 🙂
