Spring Spreads under Autumn's Trees

rollingFog behind the Rolling Hill

Daily Photo

As most of the remote Humboldt homesteads‘ know, spring slips green flannel sheets over these hills even while Autumn still makes heaping golden mounds out of the oak trees.  The fog softens everything into natural contures–even the only other home visible from mine–the Salmon Creek Ranch Buildings Can you find them?

Yes, another painterly photo. Keep this up, and you will be the next Thomas Kincade

Kym,
I gotta tell ya, your photos of late have made me, more than ever, want to climb in and be there too. The time can’t come soon enough.

Thanks everyone,

Silverstar, I’m not a huge Kincade fan but I wouldn’t mind his popularity.

Heather, We miss you. Come home as soon as you can.

Kym, my mother is a little old lady who paints in Texas. She uses photographs for inspiration. I send her photos sometimes. Do you mind if I send her your blog link so she can be inspired by your photos?

I was a SoHum girl, but I moved away 8 years ago. I cam back to Humboldt County but to the north, where I have fallen in love with the cool, green coastal scene. But your photos make me MISS SoHum! They make me remember everything beautiful that is there. Thanks.

Of course, and I don’t mind if people use my photos either as long as they credit me and link back to my site if they are on the net.

Not a Kincade fan either, but I think this photo has that quality.

I really love the softness on this image – it looks so ethereal. Well done!

Nature provides you quite the subject matter, doesn’t she? And you are far too self-depcrecating about your photography. You seem to know precisely when to snap the shutter.
