Droopy Daisies
Beauty is in the Eye
Daily Photo
My Camera broke. For Mother’s Day and Birthday combined my husband bought me a Nikon D60. Here is my favorite from the first batch of pictures I took. I’m in love.
I don’t know the name of these. I call them Drooping Daisies but I made it up. Anyone know the name?

I love how you blurred the green in the background. Beautiful pic Kym.
My camera did it. I just pointed and clicked. Amazing, I feel like a redheaded witch with a stubby, high tech wand.
Beautiful shot!
Happy Birthday, Miss.
Very nice picture.
I may have to upgrade to a newer digital camera. The closeups I take seldom turn out . Or, perhaps I should read the manual that came with my camera. I tend to open the box – point and click.
You have inspired me.
Thanks guys.
Happy birthday. Oh boy, you will love that D40. Can’t wait to see more photos.
I have a D-50 myself. I love the thing. Nikon rocks. Autofocus rules. And I love this picture.
I don’t know what the flower is named, but I have been wondering myself about taking images of flowers as they decay (we have some tulips that have begun to whither, etc.), which I thought would be interesting, but I wasn’t certain until I saw this picture.
Congrats on the new camera, but sorry the old one died.
I’m loving the camera.
Fork, I’ve been experimenting with aging flowers. Not to long ago I did one called bronzing the lilly that I like. But this flower always looks like this. Weird, huh?
Are those marguerites? I’m not sure how to spell them it but you get the idea! Great pic, by the way. You’re going to get a lot of great usage out of that camera!
Sandi, I looked up marguerites. The pics I found looked like white shasta daisies. So I’m guessing not but I’m open.
They can be yellow at times but I’m certainly not sold on that being the for sure variety. Very pretty, though. I’m partial to yellow.
The flowers are kind of homely-oddly twisted. Yet, when caught with the sunlight dappling over the top in the dark of the forest, they can be beautiful.
Very very nice photo.
I don’t know the name, but I do love the photo. I just saw a commercial for the D60 on TV ..
Whoo hooo – 10 mega pixels and SLR – Now you will need a 300mm lens – Christmas sounds good – and an external flash – sometimes the end of the lens can get in the way of the onboard flash and blacken the bottom of the pic. That sounds good for next birthday 🙂
Congratulations, you will find a whole new world through your new view finder.
Thanks guys. I’ve been out playing this morning and cant wait to see what I have.
Hmmmmm, a Nikon D60, sweet camera! Your flower shots are gorgeous, and your pictures have always been great – no matter what camera you’re using. Thanks for sharing, keep on clickin’. Cheers, steve
