Delightfully Gray
The Changing of the Guard
Dandelions rotate through their cycle quickly. The gray haired queen often watches over the youth of her sister blossom even as she prepares to give birth. From her we learn that natural age radiates life and joy amidst the quieter beauty that comes with time.
A tribute to some of the lovely older women I know (my mother, Molly Sinoway, Jonelle Munske, Barbara Truitt). They give with their hearts and their souls shine though.

There was two dandelions, but someone blew it!
Do you think they got their wish?
No fair…Myrna isn’t even grey!!!
I considered not putting her name here but she is turning a little gray.
Augh! A weed! Feel free to photograph it, but just keep it out of my lawn!!
😉
What! You don’t like dandelions? They’re like blue jays– if they were rare, people would be searching the deepest jungles for sights of their beauty.
Cultivate them. Don’t dig them out. It is a sign of artistic sensibility to recognize beauty in the everyday item 8)
