Seeking Quiet

 Old road in Moss

Old Road Covered with New Life

Living 4 miles past the end of the county road, 4 miles over dirt means that solitude is part of your daily existence.  Yet, some of us can’t get enough of it.  Rambling across country this morning, I saw a friend jogging up the road.  We waved and called hello but I headed down an ancient driveway and he picked up his pace going the other direction.

That intensely quiet peace found alone in nature is too precious to break with conversation.

Hey, just a thought: I’ve always wondered just whereabouts you lived. Do you have Google Earth on your computer? If so, maybe you could find your place with it and post a picture of it here?

Fred, I’ve tried before and they can’t find us (we don’t have addresses right up here.) I’ll try again though.

In another month, it is the most beautiful place on the earth–everything is green.
