“Despite the misleading name, the sole purpose of the petition is to permanently freeze downtown parking spaces at current levels, making it virtually impossible to build housing. But as our map shows, there is so much parking in downtown Eureka currently that we should not be afraid to replace some of it with affordable housing.”

Today, Torgerson takes on PG&E’s unpopular Enhanced Vegetation Management program which aims to reduce wildfires by cutting down vegetation–sometimes against the wishes of the landowner.
