Burglar Caught but Accomplice so Far Has Escaped, Says EPD
This is a press release from the Eureka Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On August 8, 2020, at about 4:45 a.m., officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to a business on the 400 block of First Street in Eureka for the report of an audible burglary alarm activation. The alarm company contacted the business owner who viewed surveillance and confirmed a burglary had occurred and an unknown male was still inside.
Once on scene, officers could see a male walking inside of the closed business. Officers made verbal commands for the male to exit but the male failed to comply. After several warnings, officers entered the building and located the male hiding in an interior office space. The male was identified as Dustin Whitten (32 of Eureka).
After reviewing video surveillance, it was determined Whitten was passing miscellaneous business equipment out of a broken window to an unknown person waiting outside. Officers were able to locate and return all stolen equipment.
Investigation into the involvement of the person outside is ongoing.
Whitten was transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for burglary.

Dustin thank you for the neck bar code, although I see room for improvement. Next time just tattoo asshole on your forehead. Thanks——————Jack
Best comment of the day!!
We should ban tattoos.
Not enough tattoos, he needs to finish the right side, then connect them under his adams apple with a big ‘LOSER’.
