Briceland Road is completely shut down from Ruby Valley to Sealy Creek and traffic is being directed to use Old Briceland Road after about 3 gallons of hydraulic fluid were spilled near Alapok Lane about 5:45 p.m.

According to the Governor’s Office Emergency Services Hazardous Materials Spill Report, “[A] truck hauling a tractor on a trailer overturned resulting in the tractor locating itself into an adjacent creek. The tractor released approximately 3 gallons of hydraulic oil into [Redwood Creek] prompting CHP to report the release.”

No one is injured and at this point there is no estimated time of reopening.

A tow truck is on the scene and the truck and trailer is out of the creek but the tractor is sitting in the creek.

The driver should be fined. Excessive speed is almost ALWAYS the cause of accidents like this. Environmental degradation that could’ve been completely avoided…

That half the people on that road.. I evem got passed by someone going 60 in whitmore the other day and when i honked the guy slowed down then pulled over and followed me nearly home to piercy before he turned around again. Fast and crazy to boot. I was almost hoping hed follow me to my gate and have words but he chickened out. Literally slow down. If youre behind someone doing 50 youre going too fast.
