Humboldt Sponsors Receives Generous Fundraiser Donation

Humboldt Sponsors is pleased to announce a generous donation from Valley Pacific Petroleum Services, Inc., as part of its “For the Kids of Humboldt” Fundraiser.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions in place, Humboldt Sponsors has been forced to cancel its major fundraisers this year, including its popular annual rummage sale, usually held in early October. The organization has held this major fundraiser for the past 54 years, beginning in 1965.

In lieu of traditional in-person fundraising events, Humboldt Sponsors is currently reaching out to its members, local business sponsors, and community supporters for their support through its summer fundraiser, “For the Kids of Humboldt.”

Valley Pacific Petroleum Services stepped up to the plate in a big way to support the work of Humboldt Sponsors, with a generous $5,000 donation.

“When possible, Valley Pacific Petroleum Services, Inc. will always take the opportunity to support Humboldt County’s Youth,” said Brett Panarra, Operations Manager. “What better way to invest in our future?  A very special thank you to Humboldt Sponsors for their continued dedication within our community.”

According to Becky Giacomini, Humboldt Sponsors President, many of the wonderful enrichment programs and activities for Humboldt County youth are not taking place as usual this year, as a result of COVID.

“We are so grateful for this very generous donation to help us support our local kids! We so appreciate Valley Pacific’s willingness to be part of our great Humboldt community,” stated Giacomini. “I hope their organization realizes how special this donation is to Humboldt Sponsors, especially during these uncertain times. The needs for our kids don’t stop during a pandemic!”

Humboldt Sponsors, a local nonprofit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to raising funds solely to benefit the youth of Humboldt County. Since 1973, the all-volunteer member organization has awarded more than $2,500,000 to area nonprofits serving local children.
