UPDATE 9:52 a.m.: Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating an early morning shooting near Bridgeville which left one person injured.

A whippet is a kind of dog. A whip-it is a cartridge of nitrous oxide propellant.

Larabee buttes road is between bridgeville and dinsmore. Closer to bridgeville. Mad river is out past dinsmore.

Taking him at face value, he’s driving in the dark, realizes he is too tired to continue, sees a pullover, stops to sleep a bit…the last sign he saw was for Mad River.

Whoever did the shooting had to drive through the one way traffic light on hwy 36 if they fled west (multiple people that heard the shots heard a loud street bike take off right after the shots). Wonder if there’s a camera at the construction site?

From the article it sounds more like they thought they were shooting up an abandoned vehicle.

Wow, someone with a logical comment instead of talking shit or joking about a victim they’ve never met and unnecessarily making up scenarios that the victim is lying or a criminal. If everyone was as ethical and logical as you Humboldt would be the best place to live in America. Maybe someday, a girl can dream!

Ya the story is totally logical?!? Apparently you don’t know a bullshit story when you see one. Keep dreaming girl.

Okay, I’ll confess to once pulling over and sleeping on the way to Ruth. I had got off work in Eureka around 2 AM and wanted to get to the place in Ruth. I should have waited till the morning, but I was “in love” with a logger living in Ruth. 🙂

Also, having experienced black cattle on Mad River Rd. in the dark, I wasn’t keen to run, literally, into one of them.

Or the guy could be lying about it all, but sometimes the truth isn’t the most fun.

Two days in a row people were shooting at each other by larabee buttes road. The day before this guy got shot multiple shots were heard at the same location. His story is bullshit. The shots all came from the neighborhood tweekers property, not the pullout.

Though, how would the cops know it was Larabee Buttes if he didn’t say where he was shot. Why would he tell them if he was involved in tweeker crap? Wouldn’t he direct them to some place else?

I’m not defending the guy as much as waiting on a rush to judgement. There was shooting the night before. He may, and I say may, have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time when the tweekers decided to light up his vehicle.

Not everyone is a criminal. He may be, he might not.

I’ll be curious to see how it plays out.

I don’t have the answers to your questions. You need to think like tweeker to know the answers. How it’s gonna play out? It already did, what you think the cops are gonna get to the bottom of it? LOL they already forgot about it on there way to bust more pot!

The shots didn’t come from the pullout. Came from the tweekers camp. I’m not speculating. 4 people from 3 different properties heard the shots that I know of.

Where’s the tweeker property? Only one house close to the road on Buttes access.

A friend of mine lives a couple properties over from the tweekers camp. Last year he got them on video stealing from his house when he wasn’t home. I saw the video and it clearly shows two of the tweekers, one carrying a long gun. He gave the video to the Sheriffs department, they did jack diddley squat. People in the hills have to handle things themselves, we’ve never been able to count on help from the cop squad. Call on your neighbors for growing and they show up?!? And the cops cry that nobody likes them. They show up if the snitching karens call but not the victims of theft by armed tweekers. Vultures. I’d bet big money that one of the guys in the video my friend gave the cops is the shooter, probably the one who was carrying the gun.
