Humboldt County’s Mental Health Services Act Annual Update, Three-Year Plan Open for Public Comment

Humboldt County Department of Health & (and) Human Services DHHSCommunity residents are invited to review and comment on Humboldt County’s Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Annual Update 2019-2020 and Three-Year Plan 2020-2023.

In 2004, California voters approved Proposition 63, or MHSA, which placed a 1 percent tax on personal incomes in excess of $1 million. The funding is used to develop and support local mental health programs for children, youth, adults and older adults.

The comment period runs from July 28 through Aug. 27. There will be a public hearing on Aug. 27, from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. facilitated by the Humboldt County Behavioral Health Board via WebEx. Additional information on the public hearing will be available on the Behavioral Health Board’s August agenda at humboldtgov.org/426/Behavioral-Health-Board.
