Kneeland school iconPress release from Kneeland School:

Kneeland Elementary School will be reopening campus to full, on site instruction resuming on August 31st, 2020. Instruction will be Monday-Friday 8:30-2:45, with school bus service to and from Freshwater in the morning and afternoon.

Kneeland Elementary School is committed to offering each child (grades Tk-8th) a quality education founded on the values exemplified in rural schools: a close bond among staff, students, parents, and community; and an individualized program meeting the varying needs of the students. Kneeland Elementary School continues to provide an excellent educational opportunity which enables all students to achieve academic success and realize their full potential.

While we are planning for a safe reopening and taking COVID-19 very seriously, we also take the emotional and social well-being as well as academics of our students seriously.” Says Lauren Sizemore, Board of Trustees president. Sizemore goes on to say “We are fortunate to have a small student body population, large classrooms and 2 acres of outdoor space. We feel confident in our ability to keep our staff and students safe.”

Kneeland Elementary School is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for our TK thru 8th grade students. Kneeland School continues to promote academic rigor, foster an environment where students are engaged in learning, work in close partnership with families and community and provide a safe and welcoming environment, while ensuring emotional and social needs are met.

So they are going to spread classes out across the outdoor space? Not clear how they can responsibly have in person instruction.

Of course it will spread. But the issue is will it be a source of major spread? “Current data suggests that the risk among “younger school children” of spreading the virus to teachers has been “low” especially when mitigation protocols are implemented, precautions are followed, and transmission in the community is low, Tan said. ”
“NASEM also recommended prioritizing physical distancing, limiting large gatherings, and creating small cohorts of students.”

(Children under age 1 and those with underlying conditions are an exception to this finding.)” https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/covid19/87883

No wonder CA is 48th in the nation when it comes to education.

This is sooooo incredibly fucking stupid.

Sizemore’s title should be “Moron in Charge.”

Studies are finding that children over the age of 10 can spread COVID-19 as well as adults can. They also show that children under 10 spread the virus much less. The problem with a k-8 school fully reopening is that 1/3 or more of the students are just as contagious as adults without the maturity to recognize the danger of transmission. The argument that “young children don’t spread the disease” would only apply to a school that had only K-4th grade students.

Won’t take long and they will have to close the school due to the virus. Opening that school is just plain stupid!!!

i wonder if they met via zoom meeting to come to this conclusion.

i wonder how many of their students will be afflicted with permanent, severe lung damage. i wonder how many of their students’ adult family will die or be permanently afflicted as such. i wonder the same for the teachers.

i also wonder if they’ve ever met children. i have, i used to be one once, and lemme tell you that most kids won’t understand and/or care enough to be appropriately safe. we can’t trust full-grown adults to exercise basic coronavirus hygiene, and they expect small children and tweens to do so?

What does everyone expect? WE live in a drugged-out, inbreed society.
Stupid is the rule and rarely the exception here in burnt cookie land!
I just don’t know how the smart folks in Humboldt put up with it.

There is simple solution to education. Take it out of the schools and learn
skills from mentors – teachers on Zoom, Skype, etc.

Or…

Show up to be programmed to socialism and perversion.
The Virus is a bonus!
God, we are freakin’ stupid! :0(

Life 101 is the new curriculum and PC is dying! (Thank the stars!)
See you all at the river come the first!

Carry on and stay well. :0)
