[UPDATE 12:40 p.m.] Structure Fire in the Salmon Creek Area
Several close together structures caught fire in the Salmon Creek watershed off Samuels Loop Road west of Miranda. The fire spread to the wildland.
Salmon Creek Fire and others responded to the scene.
Information is preliminary but we know the resident has escaped the fire. Information from the scene is that the fire will be contained without much further spread.
Note from editor Kym Kemp: This is my stepfather-in-law’s home and Mike is okay. We don’t have any details.

Glad your stepdad’s okay, Kym. Hope the fire is out quick and the damage is minimal.
Glad everyone is ok, that sucks..
I have a pick-up in case they need stuff moved.
Kym, I am extremely happy your stepdad and Mike are all fine. So very sorry for the fire. Very nice of Dave Sky to offer his truck to help move stuff. Not many people like that anymore.
How scary. Glad everyone is ok. Could happen to anyone. If someone is organizing a relief effort I would be interested in contributing. Please post any info.
Shout out to the Fire Department on the containment.
Kym, if there is needs that I can help with, please reach out to me. Just reply to this message and I will get you good contact info to reach me with.
Tragic, glad no lives were lost.
I have 5 pairs of 38×30 jeans if needed.
Glad all are safe but this is not easy to adjust to. Sorry for the loss!
Miranda Fire was there also
Thank you ALL firefighters!!!

Am unclear. I heard the fire was at your father-in-law’s property. I don’t know Mike, I guess.
Did it put your father-in-law (HC) out of his home, Kym? If I recall, his house is made of adobe.
Please let the community know what those who suffered need. I have little doubt we will rise to the occasion.
Hardy is fine.
Good to know. Thanks.
