[UPDATE 10:48 p.m.] 18-Wheeler Trailer on Fire Close to Buildings and Other Trailers in Eureka

An 18-wheel trailer is on fire in the 1400 block of Albee in Eureka. Several buildings and other trailers are dangerously close to the burning trailer, according to the Incident Commander. He also stated that the trailer isn’t attached to a tractor (the truck part.)

Emergency personnel on the scene stated over the radio, “Three or four tires are now exploding.”

Firefighters have blocked 15th and Union Streets as they fight the flames.

UPDATE 10:48 p.m.: According to the scanner, firefighters have gained entry into trailer and they have fire under control.
