MET Raiding Property Near Briceland; Neighbors Believe Owner in Permitting Process

raidA property east of Briceland is being raided by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team today and neighbors in the permit process are worried because they believe the owner of the property has completed a County permit and is in the process of getting a State permit.

Reports from a witness say that the cannabis is being destroyed by a skid steer. We’ve requested information and Samantha Karges, spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department, says she will have information later after she is able to speak to the MET Team.

Yesterday, the team was in Shively for a short time and then moved out to the Honeydew area. We requested information from the Sheriff’s Department and will release that information when we can.

We have one additional report that a Convoy is moving up Elk Road (also near Briceland) right now.

Time to put on your big-boy pants and play by the rules.

Stomping your feet and braying about conspiracies isn’t going to get you closer to your money.

What does federal law have to do with growers ignoring state and county law?

Specifics, please.

My product is exported out of California. I cannot bank, get credit or write off my business expenses. However, I can move product to 47 other states (Alaska and Hawaii are just too far.).

If, I was legal I would get taxed heavily, no deductions and only can sell to one state. You want me to follow the law and restrict my business in a capitalists society so corporate can dictate my industry. Nah, fuck legal.

“You want me to follow the law and restrict my business in a capitalists society so corporate can dictate my industry.”

You mean…like every other legitimate business that is regulated and taxed? Like those businesses? You know, the ones who would also be making significantly more money if they were operating illegally, dodging regulations and taxes, as you are?

You use public infrastructure, including roads and schools (among other things). Since you have no reported income—or at least the considerable income you receive from your black-market trade—you probably also claim a slew of public benefits which ought to be reserved for society’s most vulnerable. That’s to say nothing of the environmental and social problems that parasitic growers create. Southern Humboldt is exhibit A of the kind of social and cultural wasteland that illegal growers create.

So capitalists are your enemy? LOL. Is that a joke? You are a CAPITALIST! Your illicit business is driven by the same thing that drives dirty business in any field: Greed. The main difference is that you only work part of the year and blow your disposable income on toys.

You would have been better off going to college, man; had you done that, you’d at least be able to recognize the fundamental hypocrisy of claiming to be a victim of “capitalists” when you are the exact same animal.

What a joke.

Actually, I am more of a socialists my buyers are the capitalists. I have never taken a dime from the government or been on any government program. I pay taxes for the roads and schools in my state just not any federal taxes. I contribute a hell of a lot more money and time to education and the community than a majority, including yourself than any tax levied.

Personally, I wouldn’t be calling someone who’s been doing this for a while uneducated. Trust me the stupid don’t make it long but it makes for good stories. Anyways, most weren’t that bad to deserve the punishment for what you call greed.

Workwise, you obviously do not have a clue. I haven’t had a day in years. Not sure what growers you know but you put in what you get out. As for greed I drive an old beat up truck up and down Alderpoint road, now that’s a shit road I pay for!! Community is doin alright lately kinda gettin that days of old vibe, it’s pretty cool.

Lastly, I am sorry your kool-aid is bitter maybe immerse yourself in local culture or go hug a tree and let it absorb some of that negative energy.

Pigs cashing in on Federal funding, ruining people’s lives. They’ve hit a LOT of places where the “permitting is in process” with proofs. People were TOLD they’d be left alone if in process. Corporate America wants the cannabis business, and Honsal is helping out. I’m guessing there’s been a lot of “complaints” from competitors, ex-girlfriends, ex-boyfriends of girlfriends, etc. that Honsal has “followed up” on. He has no clear cut guidance, so the monied get left alone and other people’s lives are destroyed.

Well, they are busting here in Kettenpom. The county and the feds are here every morning this week, along with plane circling. They did go down Double Gate Monday, and destroy about 40 hoops. Then on Tuesday, yesterday, they went to wool mtn, but they were impeded by a dozen trees across the roads, and 8 out of the 10 hoops had been cleared out Monday night. Then, today, they went back to Wool mtn, with 2 bobcats, 15 side by sides, TCSD pickup’s, and several suburbans, and were met by some old equipment parked in the way on the subdivision roads. Only 10’s of thousands of plants have been destroyed. Other than that, it has been quiet.

Heard rumors of the feds in trinity but It has been awfully quiet. Thanks for the update. An old D8 or excavator could be nearly impossible to move. Quiet a trick.

No stamped state no plants! County interim doesn’t do it anymore, even if you’re in the final stages of your state, no forgiveness. That’s what the sheriff’s told me as they were leaving my property as I showed back up from being in town, completely turned everything upside down and thrashed shit. Assumingely for their prop pictures and trumped up charges, don’t believe anything humboldt county tells you. There’s complete lack of communication between all departments involved, paving the way for the out of the area guaranteed money.

Does this mean your permit process is pulled permanently or are you allowed to come into “compliance”?

I am willing to pitch in a grand for legal costs. I still work in the tax free cash side of this industry and I do not have a bank account, so keep that in mind.

I know it’s a lot of work for this site to set something up like that but if they did I would contribute. We used to take care of each other once upon a long time ago.

Permits are a license to do something that would ether wise be illegal. It’s all about the money folks.

Permits are to regulate and control that which should be legal like it was in the 80’s and before. You have it backwards.

The way real people do it is to get the permit THEN do the project. If you don’t have a piece of paper in your hand you are out of compliance. TOUGH!

A county “permit” is only a permission slip (literally) to apply for a State license. No State license, no commercial cultivation allowed

Almost 99%of all other industries allow people to continue operating when out of compliance. Just look at Restaurant Health Code as an example.

JB

Almost 99% of all other industries do NOT allow people to open their businesses until they are in compliance, INCLUDING restaurants (see Certificate of Occupancy requirements as an example).

If you have gained your State cultivation license, depending on the violation you are allowed to continue operation. It’s a points system and you are only shut down when a level of points are accrued. If you have not gained your State license, it’s the same as the Certificate of Occupancy for the restaurant industry — you can’t open your business.

Btw, the State points system is very narrow and strict and I have friends who only had their State license only a few months before losing it.

Well…can’t say we didn’t see this coming! Just wait until Biden and his gang get in and “legalize” federally. Your county AND state permit won’t do anything but put you square in their target sights. You will need a federal permit. And guess what? Those will be controlled and taxed heavily. Bet you don’t get one! And it will be your own fault…feeding us all into this bullshit corporate take-over. Enjoy the moment! Keep telling yourself that “we are free” and you are a “good player” ha ha!!

Yep. People have no idea what the fda will do to this plant. First you will need to meet medical grade requirements. Because what he will do first is legalize it medically not Recreationally. Putting limits on thc % of flower with a special medical license to produce stronger stuff.
Then big Pharma actually gets to come in and take over the show. When the housing crisis hits later this year start of 2021 and humboldt rents tank from no college and grow boom maybe the county will finally realize what the real life blood of this economy is.

“neighbors in the permit process are worried because they believe the owner of the property has completed a County permit and is in the process of getting a State permit.” LOL!! In the process doesn’t mean one has been issued. This should tighten some sphincters seeing how there are many farms growing without a state license and boldly I might add. It’s about time they start policing the farms that are getting permits. Those farms need to be held to a higher standard. Crazy the county will abate a small cannabis garden and tag them for unpermitted structures while farms in the permitting process get a free pass. Any and all farms that have been issued a permit should have every building permitted as well or this whole system is complete bullshit! I’ll be damned if the county gives a free pass to cannabis farms and completely screws over the homesteaders.
