Two New Positive Cases in Humboldt County July 14

Press release from Humboldt County COVID-19 – Joint Information Center:

Humboldt County’s COVID-19 case count rose to 167* after two additional cases were reported today.

Thirty-four county residents have tested positive since July 1. Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich attributed these recent cases, in part, to family and community gatherings.

“While it may be tempting to think we can make exceptions and attend a celebration or get together with friends, the best way to protect each other is to avoid gathering with those who live outside of our household and to use safety precautions when we’re at work or out and about in general,” Dr. Frankovich said. “Adhering to these safety measures will give our community its best chance to navigate this pandemic as successfully as possible.”

I think it’s 167 not 169.

Over FOUR months. They don’t report the current active number of cases or hospitalizations (one has to do their own math). It’s low. Very low.

DHHS fear pushers.

I am going to get myself into trouble with this post. So why was lodging open here in the Cove and then of course our amazing illegal fireworks. Shelter Cove was packed here during July 4th weekend. The new cleaning lodging rules are unbelievable. I get it but it will take extra hours which owners may not want to pay you just have to move quicker. So do we put a gate up to Shelter Cove?

California appears to be getting hit harder than I thought. We are not only setting new records for new cases per day, the difference between now and a month ago is shocking. Using the 7 day rolling average, as of Monday, California was averaging 8,334 new cases per day, compared with 3,041 new cases per day a month earlier.

We can slow this thing down, I’m sure of that. But it’s gonna take rearranging life as we knew it. It’s gonna be tough brothers and sisters, at least from the looks of things now, but it’s gotta happen. We don’t have a choice.

One thing we have to change without a doubt is how we address each other and how we approach our life condition. Gotta stop the hating. At this point it no longer matters who screwed up (that can be dealt with later if needs be). Right now we got to create a more loving climate, especially in the US. We need to stop looking for people to attack and accuse and start sending out loving thoughts and vibrations to even those we disagree with. You want a miracle cure for what ails us. Become a beacon of Love. If more and more start doing this we will create an environment that promotes healing instead of disabling it. What have we got to lose.

Peace, out.

Life isn’t going to change for those of us that are healthy and practice good hygiene. Fresh cheeseburgers today at 2616 Broadway, maybe drop covid fixation for a couple hours and have a double double and chill.

LR, so everyone who has gotten covid was an unhealthy person with bad hygiene practices.

I’ll tell you what. I’ll drop my covid fixation if you spend a couple of hours meditating and praying that the human race learns to love each other and live as one family, sharing and caring for each other. I’ll care for you and you can care for me. We’ll love the world and the world will love us back. Deal.

The human race has been killing each other for a thousand years. You think that is going to stop? Like I said, take a breather and have a no.2 at in n out. Have a wonderful day.

“they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

The past isn’t the future LR. And the day is coming when war will not be the way of the world. As far as in and out burgers go, haven’t found anything in any bible of any religion that speaks to that. I’ll keep looking.

I still think learning to meditate would do you a world of good.

if you are already practicing good hygiene, which of course includes wearing a masks in public, and social distancing, then you’re right, life wont change much.

That’s groovy and all but I don’t think Covid discriminates between lovers and haters. Wear a mask, social distance and wash your hands.
Or we could follow the wisdom of our President* and just quit testing and creating more cases. Then Covid would just magically disappear.

No, but the human spirit does, and in the meadows of the heart Love heals and hate destroys. If you place a sick person in an uptight, hateful environment, their health will go downhill. Place them in a loving, caring one and they will heal. I’ve seen it happen to myself and others all my life. What I’m saying is if we make life on earth a loving beautiful experience instead of the hell zone it is becoming, we would be doing the best thing we could ever do for our own health and everyone elses.

Instead we say bs, it’ll never happen, I’m keeping my defenses up, and you’re right, it won’t ever happen as long as we believe it won’t happen. And the reason people don’t even want to try is because a) it takes our own effort and alot of it to accomplish and b) we have to reprogram how we think.

I think Trump is one of the most despicable people to ever live, but I got tired of waking up every morning sending him hateful thoughts. Those hateful thoughts weren’t going to him, they were doubling back into me. Hate begets hate.

Our kids need to get back to normal school. We can’t freak out and steal their education and social development from them. Parents can choose to home school their kids and teachers can choose to work for K12 but the rest of us need to get on with our lives.
