Man Who Drowned Near Island Mountain Identified

Trinity County Sheriffs Office TCSOToday the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office identified the man who was located deceased in the Eel River and recovered by the Palo Verde Volunteer Fire Department.

According to an earlier press release from the TCSO, “It appeared as if the decedent had been swimming and potentially bathing in the river, when he had drowned.”

 

Press release from the Trinity County Sheriff:

On July 9, 2020, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased individual, previously referenced as John Doe, from the July 6 Island Mountain Incident.

The individual was identified as Daniel Francisco-Pasquel, a Guatemalan national with family ties to the Riverside area.

A Death Notification has been made to the decedent’s family as well as the Guatemalan Consulate.

After further investigation, the death was ruled as not suspicious.

Oh yeah, the “hispanic” gentleman farmer who couldn’t swim. Bathing? Meh, yawn, whatever.Next page, please…How the hell did John Doe get id’d as a hispanic in the first press release, unless of course they meant Juan Dolores, I guess it fit the narrative…
