[UPDATE 9:07 p.m.] Driver Trapped After Crash in the Mattole Area
A 34-year-old man knocked unconscious after a crash at approximately 8:13 p.m. close to the Mattole Road off the Cooskie Ridge Road was extricated from his vehicle with the help of the local volunteer fire department.
According to the Incident Commander speaking over the scanner, the patient has some facial injuries and may need to be medivacked to a hospital.

UPDATE 9:07 p.m.: “No need for Reach 18,” the Incident Commander told the dispatcher over the scanner indicating that the medivack is unnecessary.
