Driver Fled After Injury Traffic Collision at Wabash and Broadway in Eureka

Traffic collision, crash, wreck, feature iconAt approximately 8:30 p.m., two vehicles collided near the intersection of Wabash and Broadway in Eureka slowing traffic.

One woman received a minor head injury, according to scanner traffic.

One driver fled on foot possibly southbound, according to a EPD officer at the scene. “White female adult, early twenties with brown curly hair,” he said describing the fleeing woman driver. She reportedly got into another vehicle and sped off.

Anyone who flees an accident ought to legally lose the presumption of innocence. They should be presumed impaired, unlicensed, uninsured or whatever negative applies and the burden of proving otherwise falls to them to prove they weren’t in any court case.

How do they know it wasn’t a guy with a wig? It also could have been one of those things that escaped from the basement at the zoo.
