Dominic Wolf Lopez

Dominic tragically passed away on May 22, 2020 at the young age of 20. He was born on February 1, 2000 to Danny Lopez Sr and the late Jeanne Stanshaw, in Del Norte County. He was a very smart, bright, loving, outgoing, loyal young man that lived for his daughter Cecilia Lopez, his significant other Alicia Spott-Jake, his little sister and best friend Shayla Lopez, his parents Danny Lopez Sr and awok Jeanne Stanshaw, and his grandmother Aileen Meyer.

Dominic desired success, he always worked for his wants and needs, along with this of his daughter and significant other. Dominic graduated high school in 2018 and wished to graduate college. Dominic was a proud tribal member of the Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria. He has worked for Bear River in hopes to save for a home to belong to his daughter.

Dominic comes from a large family… he had many aunties, uncles and cousins along with his siblings Danny Lopez Jr., Cheyenne Lopez, Shania Brissette, and Shayla Lopez, his daughter Cecilia Lopez, his significant other Alicia Spott-Jake, his niece Cataleyah Diaz, and his three younger cousins Rachel, Jeremy and Volinda Houston.

Dominic was a family man and enjoyed time spent with family. He most enjoyed the days spent at the beach and river. He planned for his daughters first camping trip to be this summer. Dominic enjoyed cooking, shopping, drawing and hundreds of more activities. He loved going up to Smith River to visit family, he loved it up there. Dominic entertained himself with nights he won’t remember, with people he would NEVER forget. He also loved getting new ink and loved driving. He enjoyed his life in Humboldt but wished for a better life.

He planned to move to Sacramento and attend college but this next year.

Dominic is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends. His journey has only begun and he has gone on to be with our creator… don’t cry for Dominic, instead, spread his love like he would.
