Another Dose of Amazing Humboldt Wildlife

Former Humboldt County Supervisor Jill Duffy took these photos and this video of our local wildlife recently.

Duffy said she was just sitting down after a long day when her husband said, “I think the doe has a fawn…”

According to livescience.com, “Deer range in color from dark to very light brown…and fawns are born with white spots to help camouflage them from predators.”

Very nice video! A bit more docile than the bears!

If you ever find a fawn leave it alone!!! They are made to camouflage while mom goes off to eat.
Really watch your dogs off leash.
Not only for the safety of the fawn but your dog too.
I’ve seen a momma deer kick the shit out of a medium sized dog.
