Four New Positive Cases, Two Cases Now Associated With an Assisted Living Facility

Press release from Humboldt County COVID19 – Joint Information Center:

Public Health Lab reportHumboldt County Public Health confirmed four new cases of COVID-19, bringing to 61 the total number of Humboldt County residents confirmed to have the virus.

One resident and one staff person at the Alder Bay Assisted Living Facility in Eureka tested positive for COVID-19 this weekend, one of which was reported in Saturday’s daily test results. Three close contacts of the staff person also tested positive for the virus. None of these close contacts are associated with the facility.

Following confirmation that a staff person tested positive, all other residents and all but two staff members were tested for the virus. All came back negative, and the two remaining staff members will be tested. Public Health will continue to monitor everyone at the facility for at least the next 14 days, and will conduct follow-up testing during that time.

Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich said, “The quick response of Alder Bay, the Public Health investigation team and Public Health Laboratory staff enabled us to ensure that any additional cases would be identified, which increases safety for everyone.”

“Alder Bay has been extremely cooperative in assisting with the process, and I’m appreciative of the director and staff who are working to keep residents protected,” Frankovich said.

Alder Bay Assisted Living Administrator Mark Stephenson thanked Public Health staff for their response. Stephenson said, “The entire team at Public Health has been phenomenal in their responsiveness and their kindness.”—

🕯🌳1+1=2 2+2=4 More testing = more cases. Testing in more of the county will prove actually how much is here.
A study showed that alot of the spread came from New York. Up till the end of January till maybe the middle of February every other license plate was from New York. Now there all gone. So were ever they where doing there business they brought the virus. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Why is it that we can know that 2 cases were from Alder Bay, and one from Target, but we can’t know which city, JUST THE CITY, the other cases came from??? This makes absolutely no sense Dr. Frankovich. Stop hiding behind HIPPA.

Dear Tax Payer: If you don’t care that’s fine. I would like to know, so what?

I don’t like double standards. Giving very specific information on one hand and none on the other, when addressing the same issue, is a double standard.

why do you want to know. i want to know a lot of things, it doesnt mean i have a good reason to know.

what specific info are you referring to?

More information is better. They should release all information unless there is a valid reason not to. To say you can’t say how many cases are in Eureka, Fortuna, Mckinleyville or Willow Creek because of HIPPA seems contrived. HIPPA is about protecting an individual’s information.

‘more is better’, not always. again why would it be deemed better to know where someone lives? nothing is stopping them from shopping or traveling anywhere they want. the only reason to know their address would be if you were planning on going to their house. if more is better then i need to know how to make atomic bombs in my garage because you know more is better

I’m not asking for their address I’m asking for a general idea of where they are located. Are there any concentrations? Let me ask you this, why even bother reporting the cases in Humboldt county if general location doesn’t matter?

are you just acting stupid because you dont like the answer. we need to identify them in the county so the county and relax nazi rules. in my opinion we dont need to know any of this and we could treat it like the flu. we dont worry about how many positive flu cases there are in the county

Dear Tax Payer: The minute you start calling people names you loose any and all credibility. You just want to argue, have a nice evening.

And by the way, we pay taxes too.

“one group is willing to engage in intellectual dialog, is willing to work over differences and get to the bottom of something, which is why conservatives always show up to a debate. where the leftist want to shut you up and shut you down, deplatform you and attack you both physically and verbally and claim you are the bad guy. anyone with half of their brain cells still functioning should be able to see the abundant hypocrisy” – liberal hivemind

Good morning tax payer: I’ve been accused of many things in my life, but being a liberal isn’t one of them. I’m far from being a leftist and my brain cells are perfectly normal. I’m happy to engage in “intellectual dialog” but I don’t like insults like “are you just acting stupid” or “anyone with half of their brain cells still functioning” When you start talking to people that way they just throw up a wall and won’t really pay attention to what you’re saying. I think you make some good points, maybe just take a little longer to process your thoughts before you hit send, that’s what I have to do.

i dont appreciate your advice and acting like you have some sort of moral high ground. maybe you should take more time and read what i wrote before you accuse me of calling names. i asked if ‘obviously’ was acting stupid because i dont think they are stupid. they are deflecting and changing goalposts, they never answered my questions, instead they asked a ridiculous question. i also only called your actions lame, which i know is calling you a name but i only did that after you accused me of calling names. now as to the quote, i did not direct that at anyone in particular

“The flu” doesn’t kill 60,000 Americans a month with physical distancing..

But you’ve heard that 6 times, still don’t give a shit, and treat it no different, contrary to any evidence in reality.

60,000 a month? really? what are we at like 95,000. maybe that guy that jumped to his death was a coronavirus death too

Yes TP, in the month of April alone 60,000 Americans died from Covid.

It was our 2nd deadliest month in history.

The first was October 1918, with the Spanish flu.

And NY thinks they missed up to 5,000 deaths, by the numbers of their general deaths compared to previous years.

wrong. they are saying there have been 60,000 deaths altogether at the end of april. not all deaths were in april.

What the hell are you talking about?

You can count the deaths for April, it was just a pinch under 60,000.

It was you that falsely said the CDC had 43,000 deaths when they listed 72,000 at the time.

Where do you get you junk from?

Get off twitter and show some links or stop talking fake shit.

The more interesting aspect of the chart is how few flu deaths are listed… 6k. If this represents actual totals we are having a very mild flu season. More likely is people with both flu and covid are lumped into the covid death column.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm

Here the CDC estimates 24k-62k (huge margin) deaths from flu for 2019-20, but they have only officially verified 6k.

Ok, if you want to be nitpicky: flu season is 9 months long, from October to May. The cdc acknowledges that the 2019-2020 flu season has been bad, with anywhere between 30,000 and 60,000 deaths in the U.S. That is a lot. However, CoVid 19 has killed 80,000 Americans in three months. No matter how you try to manipulate the numbers, the fact remains that, so far, CoVid 19 is deadlier than the flu.

that was just ‘t r b’ trying to start an argument where there was none. he is probably bored. i was just asking why someone wants to know where the ‘sick people’ live, as in what town. i dont see why anyone needs to know what town someone who is sick is in. unless that motivation is evil, in which case the question puts the answer in their face and they wont answer because it is shameful

I saw an article in Epoch times today saying “women like it when you grab their pussies” because your famous.

It also said raking is good prevention for forest fires.

It mentioned lower taxes for the wealthy benefit everyone and that Trump’s golf courses are beautiful and ready to be enjoyed in Georgia, and Moscow.

The article keenly noted that masks are a sign of giving in to fear and Chinese communism.

Thanks goodness for such rubbish.

Its cold tonight, and the Epoch times will light the fire to keep me warm.
