Emergency Food Distribution to Help Those Suffering Due to the Coronavirus Crisis

Have you been impacted by the current pandemic due to lost wages or revenues and are struggling to make ends meet? Food for People in partnership with Cooperation Humboldt will hold an emergency drive-through food distribution on Friday, April 10th from 2-4pm. Those who would like to participate are asked to arrive via the entrance on Bayshore Way by Applebees and to stay in their car, volunteers will load the food directly in the vehicles to cut down on face to face interactions and practice safe social distancing. Those without a car are directed to go the Eureka Food Pantry, which has relocated to 2112 Broadway (707-407-0447).

When: Friday, April 10, 2020 at 2-4pm

Where: The parking lot north of Sears at the Bayshore mall, via the Bayshore Way entrance.

For: Those suffering financially due to the pandemic.

Food for People, the Food Bank for Humboldt County, operates a network of countywide pantries and food distribution programs to help those experiencing hunger and financial instability. All regular distribution programs remain operational though some may become more fluid as we address evolving needs and challenges. For those who garden or have fruit trees, if you have extra don’t let it go to waste, take it to these great people and they will get it to people who need it.
