[UPDATE 12:32 a.m.] Helicopter Coming for Man With a Gunshot Wound to the Back Near Leggett

The chopper will land to the east of of Hwy 101 at approximately mile marker 85.5 to pick up the patient.
MendocinoSportsPlus has been following the story closely on the scanner. Reportedly, the suspect is a Hispanic male that may be walking along Hwy 101. “The suspect, possible Hispanic (“he spoke with an accent”) dressed in dark clothing (a dark hoodie), then ran from the scene and jumped a fence,” reports MendocinoSportsPlus.
UPDATE 11:03 a.m.: The helicopter has landed safely.
UPDATE 11:31 a.m.:The helicopter carrying the patient have lifted off and are headed south.
UPDATE 12:32 p.m.: The REACH helicopter went to Santa Rosa with the patient.

Apparently. If he has any sense he’ll go into the brush for a while, but really, common sense and shooting someone in the back are contradictory behaviors. (By the time we commented on this, one of his amigos may have picked him up)

The victim is a senior citizen and went to Leggett scchool for all 12 years. No, he is not an import from the Outside of the Redwood Curtain. His race is of no importance.

Because, while some think mentioning immigration status is equivalent to racism and others think illegal immigration status is evidence of the absence of being law abiding when crimes happen, no one thinks the race of the victim is significant. Unless of course it provides fodder for those wanting to make those who object to illegal immigration and its accompanying crimes shut up about it.
Anyone know if the victims name has been released?.. I have a relative that lives there and can’t reach him.. concerned
