Information from the HumCo COVID Facebook page:

The California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV) and the county’s five general aviation airports continue to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Aviation staff are working diligently with the Humboldt County DHHS Public Health Branch, United Airlines and travelers who rely on our airport to try to minimize impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak,” said Director of Aviation Cody Roggatz. “We have provided additional hand-washing stations, hand-sanitizing pumps and implemented additional cleaning measures at the ACV Terminal, as the health and safety of our travelers and staff remains our top priority.”

Passengers are asked to take the following measures while traveling to decrease transmission of COVID-19:

• Only essential air travel should be conducted. Consider canceling or postponing non-essential air travel as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

• Practice social distancing guidelines.

• Wash hands frequently throughout your journey. If soap and water are unavailable, the CDC recommends using alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.

• Air travel is not advised for:
-High risk populations, including those 65 and older, those with a history of respiratory issues and those at higher risk of serious chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, lung disease or diabetes.
-Individuals who plan to be in contact with people who are high risk and/or have a serious, chronic medical condition upon arrival at final destination.

If you have questions about upcoming travel plans, please contact United Airlines Customer Service at 800-864-8331.

Virus spreading bullshit! If they fly in one more infected they should be CLASS-ACTION SUED. The air filtration systems in aircraft “jet stream” the virus into your lungs.

My faith in humanity has been somewhat restored by the positive responses to the Coronavirus. Our lawmakers are showing some signs of compromise. Underwear makers are switching to making face masks, vacuum cleaner makers are building low cost ventilators. Good old American ingenuity will rise to the occasion if not overridden by bureaucrats.

Airports and transportation systems need to do better medical screening.

One thing that I find distressing though is the constant barrage of mainstream media’s political bias B.S. and I do mean ALL mainstream media. They are the people we depend on the tell us the truth, the WHOLE truth, and stop pandering to the simple minds of the gullible public.

I agree. I’m also glad that one politician is calling this compromise out for its weaknesses. From the National Review, quoting Justin Amash of Michigan:
“This bipartisan deal is a raw deal for the people,” Amash wrote in a Wednesday morning tweet. “It does far too little for those who need the most help, while providing hundreds of billions in corporate welfare, massively growing government, inhibiting economic adaptation, and widening the gap between the rich and the poor.”

Sounds a lot like 2008.

After the parade of lies from MSM starting with the Iraq MWD hoax it’s a wonder that anyone believes them at all. Old habits die hard.

“Consider canceling or postponing non-essential air travel as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”

That’s kind of weak. How about non-essential air travel is forbidden?

Lame. Same with the hotels and vacation rentals. They should require a local ID and deny anyone from out of county.

I don’t know about that. Perspective… There are people who are traveling to take care of family that may be ill. I mean, I don’t want to see a bunch of city folks up here for vacation.. and someone has to clean the rooms, and man the desks and such.. but some movement probably needs to take place to take care of family members..

Got it on good authority that St. Joe’s admitted their first coronavirus patient today. It is a 26 year old female in the PCU, one level of care below ICU. This thing can hit fast and furious on someone in the prime of life.

Just landed and returned from Brazil. Beautiful country that has a completely different perspective on social distancing.

Up in the air anyway.
