Gyppo Ale Mill has teamed up with Southern Humboldt Community Park to bring you: the Seaside Soap Box Derby held in beautiful Shelter Cove, CA from March 27- 29. This will be a weekend of unforgettable fun for all ages. Are you interested in navigating and steering a vehicle through the course? In designing and building a suitable racing vessel? Or supporting a few kiddos that are inspired to participate? We want to hear from you!

Maybe someone from the Park Board can explain how it is; the Park is now $475,000 more in debt to gain approval from Humboldt County for the Park to host private and public events, concerts, festivals and fundraisers? However, your first big fundraiser for the Park is out at Shelter Cove? It makes absolutely no common sense what so even. You have a natural place right in Garberville to have a soap box derby, from the South end of town on Redwood Drive toward Sprowel Creek Road, with the finish line right there at Getti Up’s.
What the hell was the Park Board thinking. First you move one of your fundraisers to Eureka and now out at Shelter Cove? Not enough money for you in Garberville?
