Humboldt County Covid – 19 Patient released After No Longer Showing Symptoms

Press release from the Department of health and human services:

covid-19 coronavirus

The individual in Humboldt County who tested positive for COVID-19 infection earlier this month has been released from isolation after meeting all conditions for clearance required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This individual no longer has symptoms and has undergone multiple tests that confirm infection is no longer present.

The close contact of the patient is expected to be released soon.

Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich said, “The individual continues to do well and will undoubtedly be pleased to return to normal activities.”

Frankovich emphasized that people cleared from isolation do not present any risk of infection to the community.

“We sincerely appreciate the fact that this individual has been compliant with very strict isolation requirements and eager to help protect the health of fellow Humboldt County residents,” she said.

For more information about COVID-19, please call Public Health during normal business hours at 707-445-6200, or visit Humboldt Health Alert at humboldtgov.org/HumboldtHealthAlert.

That is great news.
I’m hoping the hospital doesn’t take their house to cover the $75.00 aspirins and such

Meanwhile, china has confirmed at least one case of re-infection, so you would think that they should wait until the close contact is cleared and both are tested…

It has been reported about 14% of people have a reoccurence. So it would seem wise to be a bit more careful.

Where was this reported?

I’m calling you out out on this “Fact” that you have publicly posted.

Because I think your statement is 100% WRONG.

There has exactly been ONE report of a recurrence, WORLDWIDE. It happened TODAY, for the first time.

Do the research, you’ll see that this case is the VERY FIRST HUMAN reported to have recovered from the virus and has been reinfected. He/she/?(whatever you want to be referred to, no offense intended) initially recovered WEEKS ago.

I’m not saying this was the VERY FIRST human being to be reinfected – just the first reported.

How many tens of thousands of people in the world have been reinfected by Influenza after the first infection? Maybe HUNDREDS of thousands?

Do you even understand how viruses work?!?

And since we currently have among the lowest number of cases in the entire world, I feel the need to point you out as a propagandist, Guest.

DON’T CONTRIBUTE TO THE IGNORANCE.

Be smart. Don’t bother running out to get your face masks, or shaving your beard. Or go ahead, we’ll all be laughing at you when we see you.

And yes, maybe we will die before you do – but I sincerely doubt it, personally. Unfounded paranoia leads to heart attack & stroke FAR MORE than coronavirus & influenza COMBINED, statistically.

Enjoy that reality check, and really – try to relax. We’re in far better control of the outbreak then the rest of the world, by every definition. You have more likelihood of contracting a cold right now than any serious life-threatening infectious disease circulating anywhere around the world.

A person who points fingers at others should be more careful about the facts. I don’t know if China’s reporting of a 14% recurrence rate is right but I certainly did not make it up. Your nastiness is pretty self evident.

I have of course no personal knowledge about this issue but when Reuters reports that 14% figure, it makes your whole post look like an unreasonable rant.

According to a respected microbiologist/virologist, Florian Kramer, the notion of “reoccurrence” is likely not true.

Tests are not 100% reliable at this point. and RNA from a virus can remain in a host for weeks (in the case of measles months.) Presence does not mean reinfection nor does it mean a carrier is at risk of infecting others. It does mean that a host can produce a positive test even after several negative tests.

According to this article, the issue is unresolvedright now. “But this finding is neither surprising nor reassuring, said Dr. Stanley Perlman, a coronavirus expert at the University of Iowa. “The issue is whether you’ll see it in seven months or in a year,” he said. “That’s what you care about.”

“Return to normal activities” ? Trust these idiots with your potential loss of life? How about just quarantine the non-affected from the virus. The ones who don’t want to catch the virus, self quarantine!

You haven’t been paying attention, now its the Libs that are panic-mongering over Corona and the Trumpettes that are dismissing it. It’s been that way for about 30 hours, try to keep up.

Too late. Didnt you know that the virus was invented by CommieLibs in the kitchen of the Pizza place Hillary sells those slave kids from? Yeah! Really! I heard on Fox that Rush said so, so I know its true! /s

Yep- within just days of the outbreaks, hate radio has already claimed the American Democratic party purposely invented? and released this virus, in a food gathering area in China, just “to make trump look bad”.

Please VOTE.

Sometimes you’ll panic-monger just for the heck of it? Cool! Personally, I’m skipping this opportunity to dish on Trump in favor of pointing out that both our media and certain foreign intellegence services love to scare everyone and drive wedges between our trading partners with a zany new flu bug every year.

I’m glad this person has recovered. I hope their close contact does as well. I still have questions of how they ended up here at a time when people were being quarantined before being allowed to travel freely. That was a closely guarded secret so we’ll never know. All we were told was they recently travelled from China.

I have read that CDC test kits are now being distributed. Why do we need these kits if it is possible for local hospitals to determine if someone is safe from the virus and can be discharged ?

One might infer that local medical establishments with existing diagnostic capabilities and as-yet limited knowledge of the disease, might NOT be able to do so.

Just a thought –

Because no body should go to a hospital.
Especially now. Have you heard how few is isolation wards or beds there are in our county
If you go in sick they won’t even test you until you’re almost dead

ESPECIALLY NOW?!?

Where have YOU BEEN?!?!?!

St Joe’s is risky, Fortuna is FAR WORSE, and Garberville is a DEATH SENTENCE.

If you are at risk, GET A HELICOPTER OUT OF THE EMERALD TRIANGLE or face almost certain death.

This has been the case for many years now. Wake up.

This is NOT a statement to your risk for the current epidemic – this is a GENERAL statement as per your survival rates for being admitted to ANY of our county hospitals, even for the most minor health issue, as per my personal experience.

Best of luck, Fellow sickos. I know FULL WELL – Probably better than you do. Been treated by all mentioned above, on multiple occasions since 1994.

Sad to say, I believe we’re all in BIG trouble if this outbreak reaches us. Be smart, take advantage of our isolated region and STAY ISOLATED when the warnings eventually reach us.

DON’T TRUST HUMBOLDT COUNTY HEALTH TO PROTECT YOU. THEY CAN’T. PROTECT YOURSELVES!

Mendocino is no better.

Just one of many examples I could quote is…

A friend went in for a heart operation, after he went in they found out they had already preformed the procedure.

How does his doctor not know that they already did the procedure?

The local hospital has no coronavirus test kits(?) since the CDC never sent any out to anywhere yet. So the lies continue by Dr.Frankostein to say the patient is clear. NOPE! Not good enough little lady. Now if you’d said the patient was tested with the Coronavirus test kit-then I may have believed you. These special kits are very expensive-therefore hospitals don’t want to spend the money. With the government trying to pass a 2 Billion budget for kits and safety wear and then having the dumbocrats stop its passage, who knows what Humboldt still has in store for us. Gotta have the money to buy the goods
As GUEST stated, false negatives are showing up in recoveries, but relapses of infection are happening with the same patient(s). They again become carriers when released back into the community.
Don’t trust any public messages from the DHHS because they talk with forked tongues and lie to appease the naïve and dumb citizens.

There are fewer than 200 test kits in the state.

The test kits the CDC has are not particularly reliable.

Rants about “dumbocrats” are laughable when it’s clear the CDC was gutted by Trump and when bipartisan offers of billions are rebuffed so Trump’s pet rats can syphon off more money from public housing

A current high ranking US administration official says the best answer to the coronavirus is to turn off you TV, stop reading the media, and ignore it, that way the stock markets can get back to making money for the rich.

Not to worry little folks, the current administration has got our backs on this outbreak.

“The president’s comments are at odds with reality. The same day, the CDC announced that it expected the virus to spread enough within the US to cause a “disruption to everyday life.”

The Trump administration has also spent the past several years dismantling the very government programs responsible for combatting a global health crisis.

What government programs? Why weren’t masks gloves and other necessities stockpiled back during the first Ebola scare?

Enough basic medical supplies should always be available to cover the whole country.

They keep saying you don’t need masks unless your infected so
My question is if masks don’t protect you why do the medical staff wear them?

Green Party Presidential candidate in 2016 Dr. Jill Stein was right to say a lot regarding the CDC and FDA.

Like her do I trust our government scientists to be honest with us? No not really. Aside from the link below where follow up is just started on tumorgenic particles in vaccines screened, the FDA also was shown to know that black children were also more likely to have autism if the MMR vaccine was given before 36 months. And, they knew it for two decades.

That paper says nothing about autism. If you’re trying to support a claim, it helps to cite an article THAT SUPPORTS YOU CLAIM.

You’re not going to find an article that supports the claim that vaccines cause autism, that has survived peer review, because VACCINES DON’T CAUSE AUTISM.

Gee, I wonder if there’s an industry that benefits from blowing smoke up everyone’s ass about vaccines and autism…
