Man Sought Last Night for Assault Arrested

Yesterday evening, law enforcement put out a BOLO for Steven Upton, a suspect in an assault case. Officers searched the Humboldt Hills area for the suspect. At 7:55 he was arrested at the foot of Humboldt Hill. We’ve confirmed he is in custody at the Humboldt County Jail with the booking logs.
He is being charged with a 245b–Assault With a Firearm
Upton was arrested in 2015 for shooting a woman multiple times. We don’t know the outcome of his arrest.

The fire where a cat was missing and a Prius was burned outside the apartment.
