To our Chamber members and the Southern Humboldt community,The Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce is an entity that has proven to be a valuable resource for our local economy, a dedicated supporter of this community, an avid promoter of tourism for our area and works diligently to assist new and existing businesses to expand and prosper.

I’ve spent my time in this position working hard for local businesses, our members and the community, as well as doing my best to represent the greater area of Southern Humboldt in its entirety. I feel deeply connected to Southern Humboldt being born and raised here, and I am proud to say this is where I grew up.

Putting my heart and soul into this job along with the amount of love and support I have felt from all of you, has been heartwarming and incredibly rewarding. Which is why writing you this, is difficult. As we all know, time ceases to stand still. As it moves, we change and we grow.

It is with an overwhelming feeling of sadness that I announce my departure to you all.

My life is moving in a different direction and a few opportunities have risen that I want to take. I will still be in the community doing different things and assisting local businesses in Southern Humboldt as a Virtual Assistant. I will also be accepting the position of an Athletic Director up north, at a school I currently coach at.

While we search for a new Executive Director to take my place I will continue my work here at the Chamber until my replacement arrives.

It has been an honor and a privilege supporting and promoting for our Chamber members as well as Southern Humboldt as a whole.

I wish you all nothing but ongoing success and my hope is that our community will continue to rise up together, even in the most difficult of times.

Kindest Regards,

Jenny Early / Executive Director

Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce
