Double Homicide Suspect Arrested
The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department assisted by the Crescent City Police have arrested Casey Potter for allegedly murdering his parents–Brian Gilbert Potter (77 years old) and Sherrie Lynn Potter (71 years old), both residents of Crescent City.
According to the Facebook page of the Sheriff’s Office, Casey Potter was in possession of a loaded firearm when he was taken into custody.
The Del Norte County Jail records show that Casey Potter is being held on a $1,000,000 bail.
Readers have identified both victims as being retired teachers in Del Norte County. Sherrie Potter’s former employment is confirmed with her LinkedIn page.

Agreed, this really hits home for me. Mrs Potter was my 5th grade teacher, Cool teacher. This suspect Casey is outta control with drugs, but I would have never thought he would do anything like this. My condolences to DN county, we lost a couple good ones.
