Largest Fire in Humboldt County in Over a Year Contained

According to a Cal Fire tweet at 9:26 a.m., the Bear Fire which was reported yesterday afternoon and eventually grew to 15 acres is now 100% contained. The fire was located off Bear Creek Road and Anderson Ford Road, Northwest of Highway 36 at Dinsmore in Humboldt County, according to Cal Fire.

Cal Fire Battalion Chief Paul Savona said that this was the largest fire in Humboldt County since January of 2019.

yep in view of our farm, pretty crazy for February. We need a snow pack or this summer will be rough. Thank you Cal Fire and Volunteers
