The Search Continues for Missing Crescent City Elder
Norbert Anthony Dantzman, the 89-year-old Crescent City man who disappeared from a Wisconsin motel nearly five months ago, continues to be missing. His granddaughter Kasey Downey wants desperately for her grandfather’s story to continue being told. Norbert’s family is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone that provides information that leads to his recovery.
According to Kasey, law enforcement has investigated a number of potential sightings of Norbert in recent months in Oshkosh, Cumberland, and Winters, Wisconsin and Cedar Park, Texas.
Kasey emphasized the importance of reporting any potential sighting of Norbert: “we want to stress the importance that people still alert authorities about potential sightings even if they aren’t sure or it was weeks or months old. We’ve been finding comments on social media posts but find they never reported it. Or someone didn’t realize it until they came across a missing person flyer or news story. So authorities aren’t being notified and therefore not getting a chance to keep an alert eye out in that area for grandpa in the event it was actually him.”
Norbert’s family understands “how people think it’s unlikely they could be the one who finds grandpa or has information that could lead to his recovery, but we beg them to be brave and speak up.”When considering the potential locations of her grandfather, Kasey said, “he could be anywhere by now. His memory – both recent or from his early life – could lead him to D.C. or Texas where I lived recently, to North Dakota where his wife was born, to any state along the Great Lakes where he worked as a merchant mariner as a young adult, to where he vacationed for 15 years in his fifth wheel (AZ, NM, TX, NV, southern CA), or where he hunted or trapped animals (WI, MN, OR, ID).”
If anyone knows anything about Norbert’s whereabouts, please contact authorities. “If outside of Sawyer county WI, their local police department reference his name, Tony Dantzman. If able, giving his birthdate helps authorities pull up his silver alert the quickest – June 20th, 1930.” Tips and information can also be forwarded to the website Norbert’s family created to bring more public attention to Norbert’s circumstances.

I sure pray that they will find him alive and well, but after all this time it does sound to good.
