This is a press release from Humboldt County Supervisor Steve Madrone:

Hello, and welcome to my new communications channel! Our county website is a great place to go for information on what the county is up to, and on my web page you can find out more about the 5th District and sign up to get notified whenever I share new information. I hope this is a valuable service to you. You can also follow me on Facebook.

The first bit of news I want to share with you is that I am initiating regular Office Hours in Willow Creek. I will hold office hours at the Willow Creek Library on Hwy 96 in town, from 10am-noon on the third Wednesday of each month. February 19th will be the next of these events. No appointment necessary, just walk in. If you want a one on one appointment I will be in town and available from noon-2pm and we can go to a local coffee house for a conversation and to see how I might be able to help you with your needs and concerns.

Please contact me at 707-476-2395 or [email protected] to make an appointment from noon-2pm in Willow Creek on the third Wednesday of the month or at other times at my office in Eureka. Heavy snow on the pass could cause cancellations as I will be coming from the coast.

Thank you for everything you do to make the 5th District and all of Humboldt County a better place. Talk to you again soon!

Nice to see the effort by Madrone to better serve out here in the hinterlands.

And it’s not necessarily an easy thing to do. My district supervisor won’t even answer the phone.

Seems like a decent politician which is far and few between these days. If we could just get a couple more in there this next election maybe we could restore some dignity to our home.

Madrone is a solid and refreshing change to the slippery flip floppers who could not balance their business interests with the long term interests of the people of Humboldt County. Berkowitz will also be good for the 1st district. I can’t wait to see Bohn unseated – Bohn has no clue as to what a comprehensive and long term vision looks like for Humboldt County. What he does is get into the weeds (literally and figuratively). He puts his attention on individual requests and favors – that is not the role of a Supervisor. Berkowitz is a long term outlook guy – focusing on and planning for the future of Humboldt. #Berkowitz for 1st District 2020!

Madrone is thoughtful, pragmatic, respectful, accountable, responsible and transparent. He is an outlier on the BOS. A refreshing change!
